Ms. Anderson graduated from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, cum laude in 1984, and received her law degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1990, where she was a member of the National Order of Barristers. Before entering private practice, Ms. Anderson served as a law clerk to the Honorable Louis B. Meyer, Senior Justice of the Supreme Court of North Carolina. Ms. Anderson concentrates her practice in providing personnel counseling and representation in employment disputes, including discrimination claims involving gender, age, race, disability, equal pay and sexual harassment. Ms. Anderson is licensed to practice in the three federal district courts in North Carolina, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, the Supreme Court of the United States and all North Carolina State courts. Ms. Anderson has also appeared in proceedings before the United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, North Carolina Department of Labor, North Carolina Employment Security Commission and other administrative agencies. Ms. Anderson has taught classes in business law for the M.B.A. graduate program at Meredith College.  For the next two years, Ms. Anderson will also be serving as the chair of the North Carolina State Personnel Commission.
